MDTAP AT Library Tours – Spring 2016

Come tour our AT Library, try out some of the newest AT devices on the market, and talk with our AT Specialist on staff.​

Winter Preparedness

The cold weather season is in full swing. Take the time to prepare if you haven’t done so yet. Visit the Fairfax County, VA webpage Winter: People with Disabilities website for information for people with disabilities on dressing warmly, wheelchair travel and maintenance and how to care for your working assistance dog.

Over 40 app, 2/23/16

It’s Tech Tip Tuesday and we’ve got a cool new app to share with you. Over 40 Magnifier and Flashlight is an inexpensive ($1.99) app available in the iTunes store that provides 1 to 10x magnification, a flashlight option and a tip calculator built into the program. Designed to make menu-reading easier, Over 40 can be used in a variety of settings to improve access to a variety of documents.
