Getting a job can be hard, especially when you have a disability. And getting the needed equipment to do the job seamlessly can be even harder. Maryland offers many services that support the employment of people with disabilities, and many of these resources are now housed in one easy-to-access place at the MD Department of Disabilities Employment & Training portal. Amongst many resources, you can find job seeker tips, resources for transitioning youth, and learn how to maintain Medicaid benefits while working!

Additionally, Maryland offers the WorkABILITY Loan Program, a low interest financing program for individuals purchasing assistive technology and work-related items to support the creation of a new businesses, work-from-home endeavors, or maintain current employment. Individuals can finance the cost of a range of items, from work machinery to vehicles, hearing aids to braille notes, and much more.
