The Position

We are seeking a motivated person with a knack for sales and business development to join our mission-driven team. Important: deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics; superb interpersonal skills. This role is remote. 



Build nationwide sales. This is an exciting time to join our team on the ‘ground floor’, as we grow to serve an unmet need for those with mobility issues. Business Development. Performance Improvement. Customer Service.



  • Proven work experience as a highly motivated, target driven sales representative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb interpersonal skills: ability to manage expectations and quickly build rapport with customers, partner organizations/foundations, and suppliers
  • Organizational skills including prioritizing and time management 
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Familiarity and comfortability using computers, researching online, and various software programs (GSuite, Insightly CRM, social media, photo editors)
  • Relationship management skills including an openness to feedback
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics or related field or relevant experience



  • Understanding of and/or experience with mobility issues, and/or working/communicating with people who have mobility issues
  • Experience navigating the Veteran Affairs Office and other bureaucratic systems
  • Experience with grant applications
  • Construction Experience
  • Housing development or affordable housing experience
  • MBA

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective WheelPad customers
  • Present, promote and sell WheelPads with compassion and clarity to prospective customers and organizations 
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive customer and business relationships through regular and prompt communication, offering solutions as needed
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and/or responding to email inquiries
  • Coordinate sales effort with the WheelPad team from initial communication through delivery of the WheelPad.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction 
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule, i.e. results oriented with firm targets 
  • Submit reports on sales activity regularly into the company’s CRM software (Insightly), and maintain clean and updated records for all leads and customers 


  • Build and manage partnerships with organizations that serve WheelPad’s core customer (Primary)
  • Attend industry wide events to stay informed on best practices, build allies within the industry, and develop partnerships with other businesses that serve potential WheelPad customers.  
  • Engage the community through the strategic use of social media
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers 
  • Analyze the market’s potential, track sales and provide status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services (Ongoing)
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Seek out and assist in applying for government funded and non-profit grants. 


  • Adhere to all company procedures, values and policies so that you provide an accurate representation of WheelPad to all potential and current customers (VBSR, B Corp).
  • Perform your duties as efficiently as possible, reducing costs when possible, and maintain receipts for all job-related expenses for accounting submittal. 
  • Proactively seek to improve through feedback, self-education, and professional development opportunities.
