{"id":810,"date":"2012-03-27T09:28:05","date_gmt":"2012-03-27T13:28:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/?p=810"},"modified":"2012-03-27T09:28:05","modified_gmt":"2012-03-27T13:28:05","slug":"mapping-montgomery-pilot-project-3262012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/?p=810","title":{"rendered":"Mapping Montgomery Pilot Project, 3\/26\/2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><strong>Volunteers are needed for the<\/strong>\u00a0Montgomery County Accessibility Rating Pilot Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Volunteers will test an online system that allows people with disabilities to rate the accessibility of restaurants, stores, and other places of public accommodation in Montgomery County. \u00a0Volunteer training will be April 21, data for the project will be gathered between May 1 and August 1, and a final report will be issued for the project by October 26.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can volunteer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Persons with a mobility, sight, or auditory disability and their immediate family members<\/li>\n<li>Willing to review at least five establishments in Montgomery County<\/li>\n<li>Have access to a computer with an internet connection OR an iPhone, iPad, Blackberry Torch, or smartphone with Android 2.2 or above on the Opera Mobile browser<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To volunteer, please contact: Anne Blackfield, MD Technology Assistance Program, 1-800-832-4827, 1-866-881-4788 (TTY), <a href=\"mailto:ablackfield@mdtap.org\">ablackfield@mdtap.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>A volunteer training session will be held 10:00 am-noon on \u00a0Saturday, April 21 at 101 Monroe St., Rockville, MD.
