Including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">-Education on technology options<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">-Assistance obtaining AAC technology (through insurance or loan closets)<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">-Training for those with ALS and caregivers on how to best utilize their technology<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">-Voice Banking training and support&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">-Technical Support to ensure they are always able to communicate<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">-Customizations we program custom solutions to meet individual needs<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">The Maryland Department of Aging and Bridging Voice have launched a new statewide initiative. This program will provide Bridging Voice communication technology services and mobility equipment from the Maryland Durable Medical Equipment Re-Use program FREE of CHARGE to every ALS patient residing in the state of Maryland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">How the Program Works:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p role=\"presentation\"><span style=\"color: #20124d; font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Visit the website <a href=\"http:\/\/maryland.bridgingvoice.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/maryland.bridgingvoice.org\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1660831566491000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1KgwxPNyCH9fBfUfhNQ-05\">maryland.bridgingvoice.org<\/a> and fill out the short questionnaire (can be completed by the individual or a caregiver). An Assistive Technology Specialist will reach out to the person and set up the first call.
