{"id":4224,"date":"2019-08-01T10:41:30","date_gmt":"2019-08-01T14:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/?p=4224"},"modified":"2019-07-24T11:49:33","modified_gmt":"2019-07-24T15:49:33","slug":"lucia-cellphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/?p=4224","title":{"rendered":"Lucia Cellphone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, I am going to be highlighting a new cell phone from Raz Mobility.&nbsp; Based on my brief hands-on demo, information from their website and my reading so far I am pretty impressed.&nbsp; It is an accessible \u2018basic\u2019 cell phone (the non-smart variety) designed for individuals with various disabling conditions including: blindness, low vision, dexterity challenges, and\/or seniors.&nbsp; This phone is the big button variety that you looks quite similar to something would have been more commonly available pre-5G or even pre-4GLTE!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Lucia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4226\" src=\"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Lucia-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"Three Lucia cell phones in blue, orange and black on white background.\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Lucia-300x198.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Lucia.jpg 358w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s get to the device features &#8212; wow for a non-smart cell it is jam packed!&nbsp; To start, the phone has an amplified speaker for individuals with hearing challenges that need a boost.&nbsp; Other accessible and helpful features: an SOS button, an audio guide for visually impaired users, talking watch, accessible buttons and premium speakers for clarity.&nbsp; Finally, I would like to mention the overall design of the phone it is pretty sturdy, appears very well built and looks like it could withstand quite a few falls\/drops.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Lucia-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4225\" src=\"http:\/\/www.equipmentlink.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Lucia-2-259x300.png\" alt=\"Close up of orange Lucia phone.
