Assistive listening devices, referred to as ALDs, are devices that amplify surrounding sounds, often directly into ear buds, head phones, or a personal loop that works with the hearing aids.<\/p>\n<p>ALDs can come as small dedicated devices or can be purchased as inexpensive apps for a smartphone.
