FCC\u00a0to Host Free Event on Making\u00a0Social Media\u00a0Accessible for People with Disabilities\u00a0– July 17<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Federal Communications Commission\u2019s (FCC)\u00a0Accessibility and Innovation Initiative<\/a>\u00a0is hosting an event\u00a0called\u00a0“Accessing Social Media” on\u00a0July 17, 2014<\/strong>\u00a0from 9\u00a0a.m. – 4\u00a0p.m. at the FCC Headquarters in\u00a0Washington, DC. The event is free\u00a0and open to the public. Representatives from government agencies, disability advocacy groups, technology companies\u00a0and members of the\u00a0public will\u00a0discuss tools and best practices for making\u00a0social media accessible. RSVP to\u00a0AccSocMedia@fcc.gov<\/a>, or\u00a0watch the event\u00a0live via\u00a0webcast<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on July 17.\u00a0After the event there will be demonstrations of accessible technology solutions in the FCC’s Technology Experience Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n
