Continuing our theme of supporting school-aged students, below is a list of some interesting apps that can support students inside and outside of the classroom. myHomework<\/a> (Free) An organizational app that enables the user to manage classes, homework and calendar in one. It’s also available online for easy syncing.<\/p>\n

Model Me Going Places<\/a>\u00a0(Free) A visual teaching tool that helps the user navigate challenging locations. Each location includes a slide show of children modeling appropriate behavior. Locations include doctor’s office, playground, grocery store, and more.<\/p>\n

iAdvocate<\/a> (Free)\u00a0The Syracuse University School of education has created a new iPhone app designed to help parents advocate for
\nappropriate services for children receiving special education services.<\/p>\n

Big Names<\/a> ($1.99) Large, high contrast text for users with low vision makes it easy to access the Contacts List in the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.<\/p>\n

StoryBuilder<\/a> ($3.99) – Designed to help children build\u00a0stories by integrating ideas and building paragraphs, StoryBuilder offers
\nextensive use of audio clips for improved auditory processing.<\/p>\n

Sound AMP R<\/a> ($4.99) Transforms the iPhone and iPod into an amplification system, all through the use of the speaker
\nand earbuds. Incorporates simple-to-use controls to manage and equalize sounds.<\/p>\n
